With a solid background in engineering, filming and sound design, Borja started up Wav Lab four years ago, intially running the business from his studio at home. Within the first year, Wav Lab was recognised as a quality and innovative example of creative practice, winning the Deutsche Bank Award for 2011. Since then, using a mixture of forward thinking, quality production, personalised customer service and a big dollop of humour, Borja continues to lead the business on from strength to strength. He is Wav Lab’s resident squash impresario and music connoisseur.
The latest acquisition to join our team in Glasgow, he is a recent postgraduate from the University of Glasgow. Jox is originally from the Basque Country, where traditions are taken seriously in combination with the new. He is multi-disciplined in the Arts; from a composer to a 'Basque pelota' craftsman. He now applies the experience here as a Studio Assistant. His fascination for food keeps him busy during free time — his favourite ingredients; challenge and passion to cross creative boundaries and make this world a better place.
You may think that not much is happening behind those ever-sleeping eyes, and you’re probably right most of the time. But, once awake, Dawg makes up the most enthusiastic welcome committee you’ll ever meet and brings a touch of mastiff awesomeness to the office. Dawg believes he can excel behind the camera as well as he does in front of it —one day he hopes to direct his own feature called ‘Chicken Hunter: The Trilogy’. Dawg is Wav Lab’s resident rug/model and chicken connoisseur.
